Constant judging  of significance is inherent to our daily routine. The special is separated from the banal, as much as the precious  is from worthless. The series of works "Impossibility of the Banal" is dedicated to these distinctions. Through various artisanal processes, vacuum cleaner bags, the otherwise neglected covers of our daily micro-rubbish, become the subject of an ongoing material reflection. Sometimes made of silver and silk, sometimes made of plywood and paper, the unique pieces turn into containers of themselves. In these small storage spaces individual desire and intimacy are entangling.

Das stete Urteil über Wertigkeiten ist dem Alltag inhärent. Das Besondere wird vom Banalen, wie das Kostbare vom Wertlosen getrennt. Die Werkreihe »Unmöglichkeit des Banalen« widmet sich diesen Unterscheidungen. Unter Zuhilfenahme von kunsthandwerklichen Verfahren geraten die sonst wenig beachteten Hüllen unseres Kleinstabfalls, die Staubsaugerbeutel, zum Gegenstand einer nicht abgeschlossenen Materialreflexion. Mal aus Silber und Seide, mal aus Spanplatte und Papier, gerieren die Unikate zu Behältnissen des Selbst; Orte der kleinen Aufbewahrung in denen sich individuelles Begehren und Intimität verfängt.
